These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Peru Viajes y Aventuras website and the purchase of the tours, packages and travel services we offer. Service provider details:
Agency / we / us: Peru Viajes y Aventuras.
Client / passenger / you: the person who requests, books or uses our services, and each traveler included in a booking.
Service: any tour, package, transfer, ticket, guiding or other travel service offered on the website or by quote.
Suppliers: independent companies and entities that provide components of the service (rail companies, transport, hotels, restaurants, entities managing archaeological sites and natural areas, among others).
Each service is described on its page with its itinerary, approximate times, what is included and not included, recommendations and flexibility policies. Please read it in full before booking.
Schedules, transfer times and durations are approximate and may vary due to traffic, weather, route conditions or decisions by the authorities.
The entry time to Machu Picchu depends on ticket availability at the time of booking. The visiting rules of the sanctuary (circuits, one-way routes, time limits) are set by the competent authorities and must be respected.
Photographs on the website are for illustration only. Landscapes, wildlife and natural conditions may vary with the season, weather and daylight.
Hotels mentioned in packages may be replaced by others of a similar category when there is no availability.
A booking is confirmed upon the corresponding payment and our written confirmation, as set out in our Booking Policies.
Prices are per person unless otherwise stated, in the currency indicated for each service. Published prices may change without notice; however, once a booking is confirmed the agreed price will be honored, except for subsequent changes in official fares, taxes or charges set by third parties.
Accepted payment methods and their conditions are detailed on our Payment Methods page.
We will issue the corresponding payment receipt (electronic sales receipt or invoice) in accordance with Peruvian tax regulations.
Changes, rescheduling, cancellations, no-shows and refunds are governed by our Booking Policies and by the specific conditions stated on each service page. In summary:
The client agrees to:
Many of our destinations are at high altitude (for example, Humantay Lake at 4,200 m a.s.l., the Salkantay Pass at 4,630 m a.s.l. or Lake 69 at 4,604 m a.s.l.). We recommend proper acclimatization before undertaking demanding activities.
The client declares that they are in suitable health for the chosen service and must inform us, when booking, of any relevant medical condition, pregnancy, allergy or physical limitation.
Some activities have specific requirements or recommendations (for example, being able to ride a bicycle on the Inca Jungle, a recommended minimum age on certain treks, or restrictions for pregnant women on activities such as the Huacachina dune buggies). These are stated on each service page.
The guide may suspend a passenger's participation in an activity if they consider that the passenger's health or safety, or that of the group, is at risk.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance covering medical expenses, evacuation, cancellation and lost luggage. Unless expressly stated on the service page, travel insurance is not included.
Minors must travel accompanied by their parents, guardians or duly accredited responsible adults, in accordance with Peruvian law. Peru Viajes y Aventuras complies with the Code of Conduct against the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (ESNNA) in tourism and reserves the right to refuse services where there are signs of risk to a minor, notifying the competent authorities.
Peru Viajes y Aventuras undertakes to provide the contracted services under the conditions offered, with diligence and professionalism.
Some services (trains, buses, hotels, entrance tickets, restaurants, among others) are provided by independent suppliers governed by their own conditions. We act with due diligence in selecting and coordinating them.
We shall not be liable for delays, changes or cancellations caused by acts of God or force majeure, such as weather events, natural disasters, strikes, road blockades, closures ordered by the authorities, health emergencies or supplier failures beyond our control. In such cases we will do our best to offer equivalent alternatives.
We are not responsible for the loss, theft or damage of personal belongings, money or documents during the trip, unless due to proven negligence by our staff.
We accept no liability for the consequences of a passenger failing to follow the guide's instructions, leaving the group or taking part in activities not included in the program.
We reserve the right to exclude from a service, without refund, any passenger whose behavior endangers the safety of the group, seriously affects other travelers' experience, damages heritage or breaks the law. Drug use and the mistreatment of people or animals are prohibited during our services. On certain tours, pets, smoking and bulky luggage are not allowed, as stated on each service page.
